Tried the Cinnamon bun. I think they have 6 different flavors. It was good, I'd do it again. 1 thing I would suggest is a sandwich board put up across the round. When your heading down Ryan towards the base the area is kinda busy for signage and your signage gets lost. Us local know where you are but tourist do not.

The pizza is pricey compared to fast food food ( cardboard pizza) but well worth the price. Great crust with a crisp outer shell but soft delicious inside. You can tell they take the time to preserve the gluten for a high quality product. Will be back again.

Today we bought two types of cinnamon buns and one cheese and herb loaf of bread and we are thrilled there is another fantastic place with quality food. We previously would drive all the way from Courtenay to Ladysmith to the Old Town Bakery to get their famous cinnamon buns but no more now we have less than a 10 minute drive to this great bakery. The staff are very friendly, a good selection at 10:00 am of their baked items. We are definitely going back for more baked items and we will try their pizza, this was a happy find in our area. Thank you Black Pearl bakery

Absolutely love their zyphyr mango cinnamon roll! We ordered the Manila Pizza and it was good! Will try their other pizzas next time! Also the owners are very accommodating! We appreciate the teamwork running their business

Brand new pizza place. Really good pizza! Definitely more expensive and more time to get than the discount named pizza places but worth it. I suggest looking at the menu and calling it in as you will need to come back if you go in as they book you in where there is room. They also offer cinnamon rolls in different flavours and pizza by the slice already made.

Detoured 30 minutes to try the cinnamon buns and they did not disappoint (highly recommend)… LOVED the size and the dough and icing were delish! For constructive feedback, extra icing or syrup between the layers would make them more moist and gooey :)

1st timer and absolutely impressed after 35yrs in the valley. I remember and miss Orbits pizza. The Black Pearl makes up for that distant memory through a wonderful crust and attention to details. I swear they baste the crust with butter and sprinkle parmesan before baking. My Mexican pizza was so good! Totally awesome! Customer service and staff friendliness was on point! I will Definitely be returning very soon. A wonderful experience from beginning to end and the taste is so memorable, quality solid!

Great pizza and insane sourdough buns and yummy sandwiches to go- I had a turkey one it was delicious- if you like cinnamon buns this place has taken them to the next level- check them out when in Comox
